Week 1

This week I loved hearing the video message from President Hinckley, as I listened to him speaking I realized how much I missed hearing him every 6 months during conference. His message really stuck with me. The world is going downhill, and it's going fast enough without us helping it. As young people, we need to be strong and stay faithful so we don't get swept up in the destruction. I also liked what Guy Kawasaki said about doing what you love. He dropped out of law school after just ten days, he knew he didn't want it and he left. I hope I have the same determination and ability to stick to what I love and not waste time doing something that makes me miserable. As I am going through school and talking with my husband about what we want for our future I am trying to remember that it is not all about the money, it is about our happiness. I would rather be poor and happy, then rich and unhappy. I think about someone like Robin Williams, who passed away from suicide and I think about how many "things" he had. He could have bought anything in the world, and he was still unhappy. We need to focus on being happy in the future and not rich, if I can achieve both that's awesome, if not that's okay.
I also really liked when President Hinckley said we don't have to be a genius, we just have to do our best!
